About M3 Perfect
The M3 Perfect was released in 2005 with similar hardware features as the SuperCard, the best adapter out at the time. Its main selling point was not the hardware side of things, but its software, with built in NES, GB, SMS and PCE emulators. Its higher production quality and more features came at a price (literally), costing a little more than double the Supercard. It also allows users to convert any media they can play on their computer (excluding Flash) to an equivalant file to be used on the GBA/NDS. See GBAMoviePlayer for more info on the file types. It is important to note that the M3 can run any GBA file, not just multiboot.
Its main features are:
- 32MB RAM
Built-In RealTimeClock (RTC)
Uses Type I CompactFlash or Secure Digital cards for storage.
Possibly 8Mbit RAM for GBA Saves and DS Saves, with backup saves on the CompactFlash as well.
Using M3 with DSLinux
To use DSLinux on the M3 with read/write support to the SD/CF card, first download the dslinux-ram.tgz from here. Use WinRar or a similar program to extract the contents of the archive to the root directory of your SD/CF card. If you only see one file, add the .tgz extention to the end of it and re-extract it to your SD/CF. Make sure the folder is called 'linux' (without the quotes and without a capital). Put the M3 in your DS and select dslinux.nds from the game menu. Have fun!
